What it does

It reads the manual so you don't have to find it
Confirm the unit and the answer is grounded in that unit's service data, with the page it came from. When that manual isn't in the library there is nothing in the model-specific lane to return, and the page shows you that rather than papering over it.

It follows one job, one thread
A repair order can carry six jobs. Each one keeps its own thread — the symptom, the tests you ran, what they proved — and the findings from one job stay attached to that job rather than pooling with the rest.

It writes the story from what you found
Concern, cause and correction come out of your recorded findings, in the order you actually worked, with the labor code matched and its flat-rate hours proposed for you to confirm.
And what it leaves to you
A tool that guesses confidently is worse than no tool. Your name goes on the repair order, so the limits are built into how it works — and the last call stays yours.
Measurements come from you, or from the manual
A reading is shown as yours when you recorded it and as the manual's when the manual printed it, and it is labeled either way. Anything else is not a measurement — check it against your meter before you act on it.
Model-specific data stays shut until the unit is confirmed
That gate lives in the database rather than in an instruction to the model. Before the equipment is confirmed you get method, not a model number.
Nothing here closes a job
Completion is yours to declare. A left-in bypass, a live probe, an LP repair with no leak test logged — those come back to you, flagged, rather than being resolved on your behalf.
And AI makes mistakes. RVscan retrieves, drafts and proposes — it can be confidently wrong, and none of it replaces your judgment. You test, you verify, and you sign the repair order.
